• India never invaded any country in her last 100000 years of history.
• When many cultures were only nomadic forest dwellers over 5000 years ago, Indians established Harappan culture in Sindhu Valley (Indus Valley Civilization)
• The name 'India' is derived from the River Indus, the valleys around which were the home of the early settlers. The Aryan worshippers referred to the river Indus as the Sindhu.
• The Persian invaders converted it into Hindu. The name 'Hindustan' combines Sindhu and Hindu and thus refers to the land of the Hindus.
• Chess was invented in India.
• Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus are studies, which originated in India.
• The 'Place Value System' and the 'Decimal System' were developed in India in 100 B.C.
• The World's First Granite Temple is the Brihadeswara Temple at Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu. The shikhara of the temple is made from a single 80-tonne piece of granite. This magnificent temple was built in just five years, (between 1004 AD and 1009 AD) during the reign of Rajaraja Chola.

• Until 1896, India was the only source of diamonds in the world

• The Baily Bridge is the highest bridge in the world. It is located in the Ladakh valley between the Dras and Suru rivers in the Himalayan mountains. It was built by the Indian Army in August 1982.
• Sushruta is regarded as the Father of Surgery. Over2600 years ago Sushrata & his team conducted complicated surgeries like cataract, artificial limbs, cesareans, fractures, urinary stones, plastic surgery and brain surgeries.
• Usage of anaesthesia was well known in ancient Indian medicine. Detailed knowledge of anatomy, embryology, digestion, metabolism,physiology, etiology, genetics and immunity is also found in many ancient Indian texts.

Karna: The Great Warrior & Charitable

Karna-Charity is thy name

There was an argument between Arjuna and Krishna on who is the most charitable. Arjuna supported Yudhistira, saying that Dharmaraja would never turn anyone down from his door while, much to his annoyance Krishna seconds Karna, saying that Karna is the embodiment of sacrifice. This infuriates Arjuna who feels that Krishna is unnecessarily praising his rival. 

To prove his point Krishna disguises himself and Arjuna into Brahmins and they first go to Yudhistira. Krishna asks Yudhistira for dry sandalwood, which they need for their holy fire.[Note: It is raining heavily.] Yudhistira sends a servant to fetch it and arranges food and drink for his visitors. The servant comes back and hour later and declares that no dry sandalwood is available in the market. Yudhistira asks the servant to check his personal godown but the servant says that there is no sandalwood in stock. Yudhistira apologizes to his visitors and tells them they will be supplied with the wood when it becomes available and turns them away. 

Arjuna swears that Karna would not be able to do much better. Krishna keeps quiet on this. Soon they reach Karna’s palace. Karna is busy donating to his people even in this weather. Arjuna seems surprised but doesn’t say anything. Krishna makes the same demand to Karna who sends his servant to the market immediately. The servant similarly comes back with a negative report. Karna asks the servant to check his godown. The servant comes back and says that they have sandalwood there…but all of it is wet. Karna grows worried at this, however he assures the Brahmins that he would not let them go away empty-handed. He leads them to his guest rooms and asks him to wait. They wait nearly for an hour and Arjuna begins to complain that Karna is not much of a good host since he has not provided them with refreshments like Yudhistira did.

Just then Karna comes in carrying bundles of dry sandalwood and places them in front of his visitors. Arjuna is visibly surprised and asks him how he could get the dry sandalwood in his pouring rain to which Karna replies: “I was afraid that I would have to let you go empty-handed. But then I noticed that my furniture and pillars are made of sandalwood. So I chopped them up. Here, let me wrap it up for you so it doesn’t get wet. I’m sorry for the long wait.” As Karna sets about wrapping the bundles in sack cloths Krishna asks him: “What about your palace furniture? Don’t you feel remorse that you had to chop it up for us?” “No, I don’t feel any remorse. It’s my dharma to help my people. I can rebuild my palace anytime but I won’t get another chance to serve you…”

Ashwathhama Still Alive ??

Vasudevanand Saraswati Met Ashwathama in Shoolpaneeshawar

Vasudevanand Saraswati, a saint who is considered as incarnation of Dattatreya by his followers, saw Ashwatthama in the dense forest of Shulpaneeshawar near Katarkheda*, in the year 1912 (2 years before he took samadhi on Mangalwar, Nakshatra Ardra, Ashadh Shuddha Pratipada).

*Katarkheda is small village located in Dahi Tehsil of Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh

In 1912 Chikhalada, 22nd chaturmaas. After a stay of 6-7 months Swami crossed the dense forest of Shulpaneeshawar near Katarkheda. He was partly guided by Ashwatthama. Thus he arrived for his final chaturmaas on the banks of Narmada with the help of Ashwathama.

The incident went like this: Tembe Swami who was also devotee of Dattatreya got lost in the dense Shulpaneeshawar forest (now in Gujarat) and was unable to reach the town. In the thick forest, an odd person appeared in front of the Swami and offered to help him in finding the right path to move out of forest. The Swami was not bewildered as he was true yogi and pious saint not to afraid of anyone. The Swami keenly observed his physique and characteristics which were very peculiar.

When they almost reached the end of the forest, the strange man who helped the Swami said, “We are close to the town. I cannot accompany you anymore. This is the farthest I can come. ” Swamiji replied, “I have observed your gait, behavior and physique very keenly. None of them seem human to me. Who are you? Are you a ghost? Are you a Yaksha? Reveal your true identity!”. The odd man replied, “You are right. None of them seem normal because I do not belong to this yuga. I belong to the Dwapara yuga. I am Ashwathama.”

This encounter with Ashwathama was written in the auto biography of Vasudevanand Saraswathi (Tembe Swami Maharaj).

Apart from meeting Ashwathama, divine beings like the goddesses of River Narmada, River Nirmala(Mangaon), River Krishna, Nar and Narayan Muni(Badri Narayan) have interacted with Vasudevanand Saraswati. Other saints like Shri Rajarajeshvar Swami (Shankaracharya from Shringeri), Shri Gulabrao Maharaj(Vidarbha), Shri Shantashram Swami(Varanasi), Shri Deo Mamledar (Nasik) also held Tembe Swami Maharaj in high regard.

Vasudevanand Saraswati preached Sattvic form of life and it was one of these preachings that made him meet divine beings who are still roaming and protecting mother earth and humans.

To cultivate Sattvic nature, diet has to be wholesome (Hit), measured (Mit) and pure (Medhya). The signs of Sattvic nature are:
– Firm faith in Sanatan Dharma,
– Meticulous observance of Dharma conducts viz.

Snaan (bath)
Sandhya (prayer)
Dev Puja (worship)
Five major Yadnyas
Atithti Satkar (honor to the true guest, sadhus, saints, bhramins)
Service to Gomata (Cow)
Sincere attendance of Katha, Keertan, Bhajans, Puran etc.
Soft and kind speech
Refraining from harming anyone in any way
Service and obedience to parents (for men), and to husband, in-laws (for women) and other elders.

Dharmik vyakti se mitrata to koi bhi nibha sakta hai , lekin jo adharmi se mitrata nibhakar bhi dharm ke liye prano ka balidan deta hai wahi shreshth veer kehlate hai !!!

Apne shatruo ko marne ki kasam to koi bhi kha sakta hai , lekin jo apne shatruo ko bhi jeevandan dene ka vachan de wahi shreshth veer kehlate hai !!!

Apni mata ko apmanit karne vale bahot mil jayenge , lekin jeevanbhar ka dukh denevali mata ko bhi jo samman de ,vahi shreshth veer kehlate hai !!!
